Industrial Revolution

Industrial Revolution was a change in modern production methods from 1759 to 1821 to 1841. The progression from a craft economy to an economy dominated by the manufacture of art and machinery.

These technological alternatives have introduced unprecedented ways of pursuing and fundamentally solving the community. This revolution first started in Britain in the 18th century and from there it is spreading all over the world.

English economic historian Arnold Toynbee (1852–1883) first coined the term Industrial Revolution to describe Britain's economic development from 1760 to 1820–1840. Since then the term has been used to describe Britain's economic boom and why a country like India could not keep up with these technological changes.

Today's economic "kings" like China, not just India, did not start their first revolutions until the 20th century. But like the United States, Western Europe began the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century.

What are the characteristics of Industrial Revolution?

  1. Use of recent primary materials, especially iron and steel.
  2. Use of recent energy sources, such as coal, steam engine, electricity, petroleum.
  3. Invention of new machines (spinning genie, power loom).
  4. Industrial facility structures that involve increased division of labor.
  5. Development in communication and transportation.
  6. Application of science in industry. These mechanized options have created a potentially significant amount of potential for increasing the mass production of raw materials and manufactured goods.

Not only at the industrial level, these machines and technologies also increase the level of agricultural production. Agricultural development has made food security possible for non-agricultural countries.

People started getting weather from all over the world. Both local trade and international trade grew due to the steam engine. Political changes reflect changes in economic power as well as changes in policy to necessitate the industrialization of society.

Massive social changes, the growth of metropolises, the growth of trade centers around the world and the emergence of new patterns of society.
There has also been a change in workers, skills have changed, instead of being artisans working with tools, they are now machine operators. Finally, there was a mental shift: confidence in the ability to learn and dominate resources was characteristic.

Details of the First Industrial Revolution

The first Industrial Revolution was largely confined to Britain from the 1760s to the 1820s-1840s. This happened with the steam engine and new manufacturing processes.
Now, they produce eight times more than before during the same period. The use of steam motors in business was the greatest advancement of all time. They become so rich that they begin to dominate the world. They became rulers of many countries including the Indian subcontinent.

Aware of their head start, the British forbade the sale of their machinery, their skilled workers and their manufacturing techniques. They wanted monopoly power. But their monopoly did not last as some of their traders saw opportunities to profit abroad. Two Englishmen, William and John Cockerill, heralded the Industrial Revolution by building machine shops in Belgium in Liege (c. 1807) and Belgium became the first country in central Europe to develop financially.

Then slowly that revolution started spreading in Europe. France was the first country to industrialize after Belgium. While France was emerging from the Revolution, Britain was establishing its industrial leadership. In 1848, with more investment towards a new revolution, France became an industrial power but, despite their great growth, they remained behind Britain.

Other European countries lagged far behind. Some countries couldn't invest because they didn't have the resources to go with the revolution. Some countries have the potential but could not due to political reasons. Videlisset, Germany, had vast resources of coal and iron yet did not begin their industrial revolution until nationwide union was achieved in the 1870s. Once started, their industrial output grew so rapidly that by the turn of the century they surpassed Britain in chemical production and surpassed every other nation.
The rise of industrial power in the United States in the 19th and 20th centuries surpassed that of Europe. Japan also entered the Industrial Revolution with enthusiastic success.

Technological and economic aspects have brought about significant changes in society. This came as a blessing to some but seemed to deepen the poverty and misery of the workers. They had to learn new machines, acquiring new skills was a huge challenge. Due to evolution, their employment and livelihood became dependent on expensive means of production that few could afford. As the problem arose, new ideas came along with the solution.

Details of the Second Industrial Revolution

The Second Industrial Revolution began in the 19th century based on the discovery of electricity and assembly line production. Electricity went to many areas like railways, industry, street lighting before going to homes.

For assembly line production concerns, Henry Ford (1863–1947) took the concept of mass production from a Chicago slaughterhouse: pigs hung from a conveyor line and each butcher performed a portion of the work of killing the animal. Henry Ford extended and radically changed these values into auto-creation. Before a complete auto is collected at a station, vehicles are currently built in fractions on transport lines – essentially faster and cheaper.

Electric lighting allowed factories to stay open longer and produce more products. Workers can now work at night because factories have electric lights. Many machines that use electricity produce products quickly.

The invention of electricity provided cheap and safe lightning that changed society. People started educating themselves at night in their spare time.

Before electricity, industry used steam engines. Machines became more advanced after the invention of electricity. They started using electricity on the roads, so that industries could deliver their products at night. It saves a lot of time for an industry.

Details of the third industrial revolution

The third industrial revolution was the invention of computers and the Internet. In the late 1970s, the third industrial revolution began with the introduction of memory programmable control and partial automation using computers.

Since the introduction of these technologies, we have now automated an entire manufacturing process without human assistance. Many companies are starting to use robots to automate their processes.

The invention of computer changed the entire society. Now, people need different skills. People can work from home which was impossible in the first industrial revolution and second industrial revolution.

People have devices and internet from which they can send mail from all over the world in just 1 second. In the third industrial revolution, industry comes online. Automation system, online food delivery system, online booking system, online movie platform, online gaming changed the whole society how they were.

Details of the fourth industrial revolution

The fourth industrial revolution is now underway. The 4th Industrial Revolution is the invention of Digital Marketing, Power of Cloud, IoT, BI and AI, Robotics, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality. Now marketing policies, marketing strategies change.

The use of robots makes the industry fully automated. Now the marketing strategy has gone digital. There are social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, affiliate marketing.

            Python Strings

Python is a computer language that can be used for many things like creating websites, studying data, and building smart machines. Strings are an important way of storing and working with text in Python. This piece of writing will cover the basics of strings, including their definition, how they can be made, and a few typical actions you can do with them. What are Strings in Python? Python considers a string as a series of characters that signify text-based data. Such a string is composed of a group of characters that are enclosed either in single quotes ('') or double quotes (""). Strings can contain letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces, and can be of any length. For instance, "Hello, World!" is a valid string, as are 'Python is awesome!' and "12345". The choice of quotes is yours to make, as long as you're consistent. In Python, if a string begins with a single quote, it must be terminated with a single quote. Similarly, if a string ...

            Python - Modify Strings

Python -  Modify Strings Python comes with some ready-to-use tools that make working with text easier. Upper Case Example If you apply the upper() method to a string in Python, it will convert all the letters in the string to uppercase and return the modified string: x =   "Hello, World!" print (x. upper() ) Lower Case Example If you apply the  lower()  method to a string in Python, it will convert all the letters in the string to uppercase and return the modified string: x =  "Hello, World!" print (x.lower()) Remove Whitespace The term "whitespace" refers to the space that appears before and/or after the text itself, and it is often desirable to eliminate this space. Example Using the ` strip()` method, you can eliminate any whitespace located at the start or end of a string : x =  " Hello, World! " print (x.strip())  # returns "Hello, World!" Replace String Example With the ` replace() ` method, you can substitute one string with an...
