Hard Bounce Definition - What is Hard Bounce?

When an email you send is bounced because there is a persistent problem reaching this customer, it is described as a hard bounce.

Bounced email addresses need to be purged from your email list immediately, either manually or automatically. Hard bounce email addresses will be flagged as spam in your future campaign emails if not excluded. Also, repeated hard bounces can adversely affect a sender's reputation.

Common reasons that can lead to email hard bounces are listed below:

1. The recipient's email address may not exist,
2. The sender does not have a domain name,
3. The beneficiary has completely interrupted the email server transport.

While Hard Bounces are more damaging to the sender's reputation than soft bounces, maintaining list hygiene is still a necessary step of Email Marketing.

Although hard bounces are more damaging to a sender's reputation than soft bounces, maintaining list hygiene is still a necessary step in Email Marketing.

A reengagement campaign tries to entice and lure those latent customers into your emails.

Your resume email should clarify why you are receiving the supporting email. In a perfect world, the email would prompt the endorser to choose whether they want to stay on the rundown or withdraw.
